Lilford at Kent County Show 2026

  • Kent Showground Detling Maidstone ME14 3JF (map)

The Kent Art Quarter is an exciting new addition to the Kent County Show, celebrating the rich creativity and artistic talent found across the county.  Showcasing some of Kent’s finest galleries, artists and makers, the Art Quarter is a vibrant hub for original art, ceramics, jewellery, woodwork, sculpture and much more.  Visitors will have the opportunity to not only meet the artists behind the work, but also to support home-grown talent by purchasing directly at the show.

Located in the John Hendry Pavilion, between the Astor Ring and Countryside Ring, the Kent Art Quarter promises an inspiring and welcoming atmosphere for art lovers, collectors and curious visitors alike.  Throughout the day, two live demonstration areas will feature artists and makers sharing their skills and creative processes, including watercolour painting, gelli printing, felting, potting and clay sculpture.

The Kent Art Quarter also celebrates the next generation of creativity.  Entries from a county-wide art competition, open to all primary school children, will be on display throughout the event, while youngsters can enjoy a free craft activity hosted by competition sponsors Trail Blazers.

Visitors looking to relax can enjoy a charming pop-up vintage tearoom within the Pavilion - the perfect place to pause and soak up the creative surroundings.

Committed to making art accessible to all, the Kent Art Quarter will offer the Arts Council’s Own Art scheme, allowing larger purchases to be spread over ten months interest free.  A free delivery service will also be available for purchases made at the show, although visitors are equally welcome to take their new treasures home on the day.  Whether buying a greeting card or investing in a statement artwork, there is something for every taste and budget.

Long-established Kent galleries such as yours truly, Francis Iles, Taylor-Jones & Son and Natasha Pearl Gallery will be joined by 25 individual artists and makers in a true celebration of the creative heart of the county.  Don’t miss it!
