Anna Allworthy is renowned for her atmospheric, layered urban landscapes. Drawing from her extensive travels, Anna’s work explores the impact of globalisation, reflecting her fascination with the fluid, ever-evolving nature of modern cities—themes that take centre stage in her current body of work.
Anna’s process bridges traditional draftsmanship and mixed media. Each piece begins with a pen and charcoal sketch; after investigating her subject and capturing its essence through the process of drawing, Anna then introduces diversely sourced material and ephemera to add texture, accent, and colour, resulting in multi-layered, deeply personal visual narratives.
A graduate of Kent Institute of Art and Design and Nottingham University, Anna is represented by numerous galleries in the UK and Ireland. Her artworks can be found in both private and corporate collections worldwide. She currently works from her seaside studio in Whitstable, Kent.
