Lora Zombie
Lora Zombie was born in Russia in 1990. Realising her calling at a young age, the self-taught artist has since risen to become a top seller on the urban art scene. After amassing a huge online following, reaching millions through blogs, news outlets, and social media, Lora broke into the gallery scene with her unique blend of street and grunge art, and now sells her work far outside her native Russia.
Lora’s signature style masterfully blends whimsical innocence with raw, urban chaos. Her sweet, childlike figures—including little girls, pandas, and unicorns—are often set in dark, sinister environments or against loose, unpredictable backgrounds where vibrant neon pigments are allowed to freely blend and trickle down the page. This seamless combination of sharp, linear characters and chaotic paint splatters makes each of Lora’s works a happy mix of precision and disorder.
Beneath this vibrant aesthetic, however, lies a biting, cynical sense of humour, and through recurring motifs and subverted pop culture icons, Lora’s striking, punk-inspired compositions serve as sharp socio-political commentaries on themes as diverse as war, consumerism, and environmentalism.
Since making a name for herself, Lora’s works have been exhibited in Los Angeles, Toronto, Vancouver, New York, and the UK, attracting the interest of notable collectors and fans worldwide.
“Art has always been my native language, my most natural way of expressing myself and connecting and communicating with the world. It never felt like a choice, more like an instinct—something that’s always been a part of me. My art has evolved and transformed over the years…some pieces hold deep introspection, others are playful, and some live in that liminal space between dreams and reality.”
